HOW DO I REGISTER?

After downloading. Launch Lalalama and select the either the standard registration process or register and login with one of suggested social networks. 

After registration you will receive a verification letter to a mail provided by you. You will have to confirm your registration by clicking on the “Complete registration” link / button in the confirmation mail. 

*If you have not received the confirmation mail. Please check your spam mailbox or contact us at privacy@lalama.com. 

    Is Lalalama free?

    Lalalama is free for download. Each Lalalama user gets a freemium account with 5 hours of recording time.

    Freemium account comes with several standards: 
    * 30 min thread opening recording (per thread).
    * 1 min reply time per reply

    You can prolong your reply recording time by purchasing within the app, In the “Get more time”, Located in the “Main Menu”.


    WHAT IS A PRIVATE/PUBLIC THREAD?

     private thread is only visible to you and the people you choose to tag in it. 

    If you haven’t tagged any friends in the thread created by you. It will only be visible to you and you alone. 

    A Public thread will be visible to all Lalalama users and will appear on their news screen feed. 

    Anyone can record a reply into a public thread.

    WHAT IS A THREAD?

    Each new recording you make from the main recording screen becomes automatically a thread heading. Think of a thread as a “Folder”. By creating a new thread heading, you create a “folder” in which after publishing you can add more recordings thus building a thread.


    CAN I DELETE A THREAD?

    You can only delete a thread that you have created. Note that by deleting the thread you will lose all of the recoded information in it and the recording time you’ve spent in that thread will be refunded to all the participants of that thread. 

    You cannot delete a thread shared to you by a friend or a public thread published by others.


    WHAT IS A REPLY?

    A reply is a recording that you make within particular thread. For example if you have a thread called “To do list” and you wish to add a recording to previously recorded content. You can do so by navigating to that thread. At the bottom of the screen you will see a “Record” icon. By pressing it you will begin recoding additional information that will be automatically added to that thread. Much like a list. By pressing in again you will stop the recording.

    CAN I DELETE A REPLY?

    No. However you can delete the whole thread. Providing the fact that that thread is made by you.


    WHAT IS THE RECODING DURATION OF THE FIRST RECORDING OF THE THREAD OR A NEW RECORDING?

    The duration of the new recording (Thread header/ thread topic) is half an hour (30 minutes). However we do not recommend creating recordings longer than 10 min in duration. That might reflect on your battery life and prolong the upload time. 

    We have specifically designed the thread header recording to be able withstand long recordings for occasions such as meetings or lectures, interviews, driving, storytelling, brainstorming. 

    The experience of thread header recoding is very much similar to “Voice memo / Voice recorder” apps. 

    When you take a long recoding. Your device might go to sleep but Lalalama will continue to record, until you’ll stop it or if you run out of time.

    PRIVACY SETTINGS

    You can set your privacy settings by navigating to the “Main menu”. Selecting “Account settings” and then selecting “Privacy settings”.

    What is the reply recoding duration?

    For freemium users the duration for a reply is 60 sec. However you can extend the reply time duration by purchasing time duration you require in our in-app store. You can find it by navigating to the main menu and by pressing The “GET MORE TIME” button. Which will take you to the inn-app store. Select the duration by which you wish to extend your reply time and purchase. 

    For subscribed users the reply recording duration is unlimited.


    do I extend my reply recording duration?

    To extend reply recording duration, navigate to the main menu (icon located at the top left corner of the screen). In the main menu press “Get More Time” Button, and you will be directed to the in-app purchase screen. Select the reply recording extension you require and purchase.


    How do I filter “My threads”?

    Filter my recordings is located under the icon of the small blue llama, in a “quick menu” located at the bottom of the screen. 

    By swiping up llama icon you will be able to open a filter menu where you can sort your recordings by: All / Private /Friends / Public. 

    All: Are all the threads started by you. 

    Private: All the threads you have recorded but haven’t shared with anyone. 

    Friends: Private recordings, shared with friends. 

    Public: Recordings visible to all Lalalama users and tagged friends.


    How do I filter “News”?

    News can be filtered by: All / New threads / New replies 

    Filter for news is located under the icon of an orange waveform icon in a “quick menu”, located at the bottom of the screen.

    How do I add/get more time to my account?

    To add more recording time to your account, navigate to the main menu (icon located at the top left corner of the screen). In the main menu press “Get More Time” Button, and you will be directed to the in-app purchase screen. Select the amount of time you wish to add to your account and purchase.


    Can I record offline?

    Yes you can! The recorded information will be automatically uploaded to the server and delivered to tagged friends as soon as your internet connection becomes available.


    Can I record a reply offline?

    Yes you can! However… Your reply will be uploaded and added to the server once you will have internet connection.

    Note that posting a reply offline to your friends thread, will be visible only after it has been uploaded to the server, but will keep the time stamp and order in the thread.


    How do I Follow/Unfollow? Get/Stop notifications and updates on a particular thread?

    If you want to follow updates for a certain thread. Long press on a thread will open thread menu. In that that menu you can select to: Follow / Unfollow the thread, Play only new replies, Tag friends. 

    To close the menu just tap outside of it, anywhere else on the screen. 

    Another way to Follow or unfollow the thread is to navigate inside the read where you will see an info icon at the top right corner of the screen. By pressing it a menu will open where you can see who is tagged and replied in the thread and a “Follow / Unfollow” button. 

    Once you have chosen to “Follow” you will start getting notifications and updates. 

    Once you have chosen “Unfollow” you will no longer get notified regarding that thread. 

    You can always change your mind.

    Where do I update my user profile?

    Navigate to the main menu, by pressing the icon at the top left corner of any screen. Navigate to “Account settings” and press “Your Profile”. 

    You will see that you are able to modify your: First/Last/User name, photo and e-mail. Don’t forget to “Save” in order to apply changes.

    How to report spam, inappropriate or offensive content?

    Every reply recording made has a report button. You will see it as a small drop down arrow in top right side of every reply or reply batch. 

    Each report will be reviewed and appropriate measures taken to prevent abuse in the future. 

    Spam, inappropriate or offensive content, reported several times, for the same user will lead to account block, of the reported user. However if there’s a user who constantly reports others, his/her account will be blocked as well until comprehensive review.
